LOCKED AND LOADED
The level is coming along really nicely! There's many tunnels and walls to ride around and jumps to pull cool tricks on, and the overall style of it is very visually satisfying. The map is divided into 4 sections, a skate park, a harbour, a city street and a nuclear factory- each area being visually distinct and connected easily via jumps and tunnels.
The car drives very smoothly in third person, and with the ability to now flip yourself over and orient yourself in mid-air, navigating the city has never been more fun or easier! The rocket launcher also locks on to nearby players to an extent, and the machine gun shoots very fast with loads of ammo, but has less damage output and shoots straight.
Our talented programmer has also made an audio track for the level with a funky beat, whilst one of our artists gave the level an audio effects overhaul, replacing all the placeholder sounds.
There's a week until gold release, and the group is in severe crunch time, some of us already spending long nights and days working on the project. We've received some feedback for minor changes to the level but overall there's still much to be done, especially concerning texturing, material creating, lighting and set dressing.
